For a slice of real Chicago, there’s
nothing like the Chicago History Museum. From the Algren photos to the
Lincoln Bicentennial exhibit, I could
wander around for hours. I also enjoy
browsing the shops in Andersonville.
As a parent, the toy and kids’ shoe
shops are classic, and there are great
places to enjoy a post-shopping coffee. In the summer, I enjoy having a
picnic lunch in Millennium Park and
Pritzker Pavilion. I’ve happened upon
the Chicago Symphony Orchestra rehearsing for an evening performance
and a visiting dance troupe giving an
impromptu show.

Number one on my list of fun activities in
Chicago is spending a warm summer afternoon at Wrigley Field. Life just doesn’t get
better than that! The diversity of restaurants
is also part of what makes this city great. It is
impossible for me to pick just one as a favorite,
although I frequently crave Thai food from
Star of Siam.
